Episode 24 – Fitness Business Television

star_3In this week’s episode I share with you a tiny mistake you are probably making and how you can immediately save hundreds of dollars a month from fixing it, I’ve got a Killer Resource that happens to be my absolute favorite press release site…and it turns out Google loves it too.  And I’m going to discuss with you one of my favorite offers to make heading into the summer months that has generated thousands of memberships for our clubs.

Websites and Resources Mentioned in the Show:

—————————-

ANNOUNCEMENT:  First off, you are doing yourself an injustice for not leaving a comment on the show.  Every time you do, that gives you an inbound link to your website…which GOOGLE LOVES!  So far this is episode 24.  You could make a comment on all 24 shows and have 24 inbound links coming to your site!!!  That is huge!  Especially since we had just over 2,300 visits to this website LAST WEEK!   Google gives more weight to YOUR website when a high traffic website is linking to it.  So do yourself a favor, even if you don’t have time to watch the entire episode.  MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE  A COMMENT EACH WEEK!  It is the absolute easiest way you can take action once a week.

Who doesn’t love saving money?  I see no one raised their hands.  We like saving money almost as much as we like MAKING MONEY!  Well I’ve got a fun little tip for you that could save you hundreds of dollars a month with your thermostat!  That’s right, your thermostat…

Press releases are very powerful, both in print locally and online.  The big difference is that online press releases don’t really have to say anything special, and they certainly don’t have to be written well…they just need to be posted….along with a few keywords that I talk about on this week’s Killer Resource segment of the show.

Summertime.  A time of flip flops, bikinis (meow), and unfortunately slow sales.  I have one marketing message that has proven time and time again, year after year, to generate consistent membership sales during the month of June.  You’ll want to watch this!

As always your thoughts are appreciated. Please leave a comment below that will benefit the other viewers AND will get you noticed by Google. Enjoy the show!

Great Show Curtis. I can’t wait to see how the summer for free program works this summer! Early congrats on the upcoming 25th show next week! Have fun in San Diego!

  2. Curtis your tips are a great help to my business. The information you provide is extremely useful.
    Thank you.

  3. Curtis,
I admire your grit and determination. You make it look and feel so easy!

  4. Will Denyko says:

Curtis, cool show. Hey the peas and the peatnutbutter weren’t supposed to be fried with the eggs, btw. Hey I tried the press release site. It works awesome. Thanks for that tip.

  5. Annie says:

Hey! I finally watched an episode after receiving your emails regularly–this is good stuff! Think I just might make it a habit :)

  6. Matt says:

Curtis, The link backs really do work when you comment. My link count is certainly improving. Hopefully google starts to be more attracted to our new and improved website.

    Great tips as always.

  7. Jeremiah says:

Ah crap. I turn my thermostat way down at night. I NEVER knew that. I’m gonna find that mythbuster episode somehow because I don’t wanna believe I’ve wasted money when I thought I was saving money!!!

  8. Rick Streb says:

    Curtis,

Great tips! I’ve actually used the “Summer for Free” promotion before and it does work tremendously.

I think I’ll pull it out and use it this upcoming month.

    Keep up the great work.

  9. Mark Groshan says:

Very interesting tip about the thermostat setting, I’ll have to test it out. Thanks.

Curtis knows his stuff about improving your page rank on google. After he shared some tips with me, my blog posts consistently land a first page ranking on google. Choose choice key words in your title and repeat them often, but appropriately in your article, then submit it to some press release websites. Websites that point to you (have links to your site) are more important than you providing links for others or regular content. You could also write fitness or health articles for a local newspaper for free and ask them to publish the articles on their online news addition with a link to your site. Obviously like Curtis reminds you every week, you should comment here on this site. It is yet another website pointing to your site.

Thanks for the help Curtis. Good luck in So Cal.

  11. Kelly Luedke says:

Curtis, I really think that MJ is not the one that wants to move. He just told me that he wanted to say here with her best friend while you go to west coast. :)

We have used the summer for free promo at our club also and it was a big hit.

Thanks for all the google tips.

We will miss you here in FL but wish you a lot of luck out west. It gives us a very cool place to come visit.

  12. Luke says:

I feel you bro. I’m not a huge fan of change, but I hate boredome more. So I’d rather make a big change than be bored all the time. Good luck in Cali!

  13. Nate says:

Good stuff about the thermostat setting. I was wondering about that and will be sure to use that tip.

Besides PRlog.org, do you use or recommend the other free press release sites that are available (free-press-release-center, addpr, pressrelease, etc.)?

I’m glad you’re in the process of moving. It has given me the chance to get close to catching up on past episodes.

As you may have noticed from my comments, I have managed to watch episodes 10 – 24 today!

Whew! That was a lot of Curtis Mock in one day. Luckily, you’re an alright guy.

And I was able to get other work done in between watching episodes (and even during parts of some episodes – sorry Curtis!).

But I feel much better now that I’m nearly caught up and will easily be back on track.

And I have several pages of notes from watching all these episodes in one day.

    Sweet.

I’m going to dominate Florida now that you’re gone!

    Nate

PS – Good luck with the move. I hope everything is going well and that you get to enjoy some part of the Independence Day weekend!

PSS – Really good meeting you at BCBC in Louisville. Hope to meet up with you again in the future.

  14. Crystal says:

Great show, love the press release tip and will definately put that into action after the Holiday weekend.

  15. Jessica says:

I want my FitbizTV back!!! Where are you Curtis?
